Rules & Regulations

Open Participation: The competition is open to all individuals, regardless of skill level.

Original Work: All entries must be painted by the person submitting them.

​No Commissioned Work: Entries must be painted by the participant; no commission-painted entries allowed.

Number of Entries: Each participant may submit one entry per category.

Total Entries: A participant may enter up to two categories with different entries.

Registration: Complete a registration form for each entry.

Display: Entries should be presented on a stable base or plinth.

Size Restrictions: Ensure entries fit within specified size limits (e.g., 18" x 18" x 18").

Secure loose models on bases or trays to prevent damage.

Minis must abide by the OS4CA Dress Code;

Minis may not be in suggestive or inappropriate poses;

Submitting Entries
Entries can be submitted online prior to the event, or on site. On site submissions will open Friday at 2pm during the event. Please refer to our maps once released for location information. Entries will no longer be accepted past 6:00pm on Saturday.

Eligibility
Anyone may enter in the Miniature Painting Contest, excluding OS4CA staff.

By entering an OS4CA Organized Contest, Competition, or Showcase:
All participants agree to uphold and demonstrate fair play, respect, and sportsmanship to the highest standards.Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to disparaging remarks, offensive language, or any actions that may be deemed harmful or detrimental to other participants, attendees, the Event, or OS4CA and its staff will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in the immediate removal of the offending entry from the current contest and may lead to a suspension of eligibility to participate in future OS4CA Event contest events. OS4CA is committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all, and participants are expected to contribute to maintaining this atmosphere.​

Judging Criteria
Originality: Creativity and uniqueness of the piece.
Technical Skill: Quality of painting, including neatness and attention to detail.
Presentation: Overall appearance, including base and composition.
Adherence to Theme: For themed categories, relevance to the theme

Panel of Judges: Entries will be evaluated by a panel of experienced painters and hobbyists.
Feedback: Judges may provide feedback to participants upon request
Winner Announcement & Prizes
Announcement of Winners:
Winners will be posted at the Model display area by 12pm, Sunday. They will also be announced during final ceremonies.
If a category only receives one entry, the winner will receive prize support selected by the judges.
Prize packs can be picked up from 12pm – 4pm, Sunday, at the Model display area.
Post Contest
Picking Up Your Mini:
All entries may be picked up Sunday, from 12pm – 4pm unless other arrangements have been made prior to that time. Any artwork that is not picked up becomes the property of OS4CA.
All Entries will be handled with care, OS4CA cannot be held responsible for any damages.
