Rules & Regulations:

Your video can be composed of footage from anime, live-action movies, cartoons, television shows, video games, or any combination of these. OMV’s (Original Music Video, defined videos comprising originally composed music or original animation by submitted editor) are also accepted.

If any of these requirements are not met, we will notify you to resubmit your entry. Contestants will be contacted if there is any issue with the playability of their video. We are closing the submission form earlier than normal so that we can make sure that all videos can be played during the contest.

The video can be no longer than four (4) minutes and no shorter than one (1) minute.

Tokyo, OK is a family friendly event. So no overt or abundant sexual (fan service) references, profanity and/or extreme violence/gore. This also includes the lyrics of the song. The reason for this is that we do not want to have to card for any 18+ material.

Subtitles, logos and watermarks are not allowed. Do not use footage with logos such as DivX, Cartoon Network, Anime Network, etc. This does not include subtitles added by the creator for karaoke AMV’s.

Videos can only be submitted by their creators. Anonymous submissions will not be accepted.

Videos must be a new submission to TOK and must have been completed within the 12 month period prior to the contest.

All videos will be screened beforehand by a panel made up of the Assistant Director of Programming, Head of Contests, and additional screeners chosen at the Assistant Director's discretion. This panel will determine which videos will make the contest.

Judging criteria includes: video quality, audio quality, editing technique, storyline and originality. Prizes will be awarded to a Best in Show, plus highest scoring video in each category: action, comedy, and drama. A category must have a minimum of 3 qualifying AMVs for category prize to be awarded.

All AMVs will be kept for use in future Tokyo, OKs in showcase events.

Eligibility
Anyone may enter in the AMV Contest, excluding OS4CA staff.
By entering an OS4CA Organized Contest, Competition, or Showcase:
All participants agree to uphold and demonstrate fair play, respect, and sportsmanship to the highest standards.Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to disparaging remarks, offensive language, or any actions that may be deemed harmful or detrimental to other participants, attendees, the Event, or OS4CA and its staff will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in the immediate removal of the offending entry from the current contest and may lead to a suspension of eligibility to participate in future OS4CA Event contest events. OS4CA is committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all, and participants are expected to contribute to maintaining this atmosphere.
