Mini Painting

For 2023, we will be hosting the First Annual Miniature Model Painting Contest powered by Dice Addiction Games & More! Bring out your Stompers, monsters, and dragons of lore! This Miniature Painting contest is your chance to showcase your talent in painting tiny plastic figures. We invite all miniature painting enthusiasts to join us for a weekend of painting, fun, and competition!

We will have two contests available! A Main Miniature Paint Contest and an

On-Site Painting Contest! These contests are free of charge!

ENTRY

Entry will be on site. Miniatures can be dropped off on Friday and Saturday at the Contest Booth. Entrants will be accepted until 7pm on Saturday night. Judging will take place at the Contest Booth.

WEEKEND ON-SITE PAINT CONTEST

This contest is similar to our main miniature painting contests, with one big difference! You must start and complete the miniature during the convention weekend! There will be seating in the paint and take area of Dice Addiction's booth reserved for contestants. The Dice Addiction staff will help sign up participants.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Miniatures with or without basing are allowed
3D Models are allowed
Scratch-built and converted figures are both allowed, but will be judged equally to commercially available figures.
Entries will be judged based on difficulty, workmanship, painting skill, and presentation, with a primary focus on painting skill.

SPECIAL JUDGING OPTION FOR 2023!
Miniatures that specifically incorporate the 2023 theme of Worlds Collide: the Horde of the Undead vs. the High School Heroes can be included for an additional special judging option for each category.

PRIZE SUPPORT

Details about the prize support will be announced soon.
Prize support can be picked up from 12pm – 4pm, Sunday, at the Contest Booth.

PICKING UP YOUR MINIATURE
All entries may be picked up Sunday, from 12pm – 4pm unless other arrangements have been made prior to that time. Any models that are not picked up will become the property of OS4CA.
